Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King has been on Nintendo Switch since December of 2017. Less than a year since its release on the console, its sales numbers have further surpassed its sales on Steam, showing just how powerful the Nintendo community is. On Monday the game’s publisher FDG Entertainment tweeted out an astonishing fact about the game’s Switch sales.
#BlossomTales #NintendoSwitch sales have now surpassed #Steam sales by a factor of 20! We're incredibly thankful to everyone who bought the game no matter on which of the platforms but @NintendoAmerica community really was the turnaround for this beautiful game. <3 @castlepixel pic.twitter.com/PSXFFqhPyT

Even though the game has been on the PC market since March of 2017, its launch day sales on Switch surpassed its lifetime sales on Steam. The fact the game has sold 20 times more on Switch since then shows why so many indie developers are chomping at the bit to have their games put on Switch. Its success is also probably why Nintendo is looking to release 20 to 30 indie games every week on Switch.
Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is an action-adventure game where players take control of a knight named Lily. Players take on various monsters and creatures in order to save the kingdom of Blossom. Failure to do so results in the kingdom falling forever into a pit of darkness and despair.
Developer Castle Pixel made sure there was plenty to do, creating over 15 hours of content; including five different dungeons to explore.
