ArtPlay and 505 Games’ Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the game that keeps on giving. Back in August, the game received Boss Revenge and Chroma Wheel on Nintendo Switch. The former added the option to play as four bosses in dedicated spaces to defeat Zangetsu, Dominique, and Miriam, whereas Chroma Wheel added new color and customization options for Miriam. Now, in a surprise, Bloodstained is adding umbrella-wielding Bloodless as a “bonus playable character,” the details of which will be revealed in “coming days.”
Happy Halloween! ?
We have a treat for you…Bloodless arrives this month as a bonus playable character!

Incidentally, Bloodless is already one of the four bosses featured in Boss Revenge, but seeing her traverse the game world as seen in the above short clip is new. Whether she gets a full playthrough to experience as seen with Zangetsu remains to be seen. However, the use of the term “bonus” suggests that Bloodless will not be the third playable character previously promised in the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night 2020 development roadmap.
Bloodless aside, ArtPlay and 505 Games still have plenty more content planned for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night in their roadmap, including Chaos Mode (local or online), VS Mode (local or online), and Classic Mode, all of which we’ve previously detailed. Between this title and Inti Creates’ Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon spin-offs, game designer Koji Igarashi already has a new hit franchise on his hands.
