Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 gets July release date, plus co-op

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 release date June 10 co-op gameplay ArtPlay Inti Creates Koji Igarashi

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 dropped like an 8-bit atom bomb at New Game+ Expo, and it was easily my highlight of the show. And per new official listings at places like Nintendo and Steam, we suddenly know the game will release on July 10! Additionally, a brand new 2-player local co-op mode has been confirmed, where you can “Work together with a friend, mix and match the strengths of two different characters, and conquer stages in tons of new and exciting ways.” Inti Creates, ArtPlay, and Koji Igarashi are treating us just too good here.

As previously revealed, Zangetsu returns as protagonist of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, but his playable companions for this entry are different, being Dominque, Robert, and (that Corgi colossus!) Hachi. The “multiple-scenario structure” of the first game that allowed things to play out in slightly different ways will return here, with the story built under Igarashi’s supervision.

It’s crazy to think that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 isn’t even two weeks away from its release date, whereas a few days ago we didn’t even know it existed. And you can play it co-op! Inti Creates and ArtPlay are delivering the big summer blockbuster all gamers were craving. There are definitely no other massive video games that released recently, especially on PlayStation 4.
