Rare’s 1997 action-packed romp Blast Corps just received two pieces of official merch over on Fangamer’s store as part of their Rare Collection. Fans of the game can grab a Stompin’ Bomber t-shirt for $28, or they can snag a Thunder Crash! pin for $12. If you are interested in showing off your Blast Corps love, check out Fangamer’s Rare Collection here.
Blast Corps never made much of a splash when it was first released in 1997, so it is understandably tough to find official merch honoring the game. While critics praised the nuclear-powered action title, the game’s high review scores did not translate to heavy sales. Those who did find their way to the game were rewarded with an infectious good time; Blast Corps provides over fifty levels of rampant destruction, as players are tasked with using a fleet of vehicles to destroy buildings and move obstacles out of the way of a runaway nuclear missile carrier. Needless to say, the game has a small but dedicated following.
