It’s been six years since Axiom Verge first captured the hearts of Metroidvania fans, and solo dev Tom Happ recently followed it up with Axiom Verge 2. The sequel’s release was a surprise reveal at the last Nintendo Indie Showcase, and during that presentation, we also learned about a special bundle deal. Limited Run Games is bringing the Axiom Verge 1+2 Double Pack to stores with both regular and Collector’s Edition options! Thanks to a new update, we’ve got more info today on what you can expect to be included in the latter. Additionally, a variety of Axiom Verge merch has been unveiled too!
Axiom Verge 1+ 2 Double Pack and merch
The Axiom Verge 1+2 Double Pack Collector’s Edition includes both games along with a variety of collectible goodies. There’s a shadowbox featuring Indra and the Lamassu, action figures of Trace, Indra, and Nano Indra, an Indra steelbook, Chirashi (A4 posters), art cards, enamel pins, the original soundtracks, and a pair of behind the scenes art books. Whew! All of that combines for a price tag of $174.99, and preorders begin October 1.
Beyond the Axiom Verge 1+2 Double Pack, Limited Run Games also announced some official merch. You can buy LPs of the original soundtracks for both games, reversible maps (complete with bestiaries) for both games, an official Prima Strategy Guide that covers both games, and a shadowbox featuring Trace and Elsanova. Preorders for all of this merch will also open up on October 1 at 10:00 am Eastern.
