Atlus talks unannounced projects, Vanillaware games, more surprises Etrian Odyssey Project Re Fantasy

Atlus is presumably busy with Persona 6, but the company has several unannounced projects in the works, including more from Muramasa and Dragon’s Crown developer Vanillaware. Senior Managing Director Naoto Hiraoka shared some insight in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.

Here are highlights from the interview with Atlus’ Naoto Hiraoka:

  • “We hope to share several surprises outside the Persona 25th anniversary project.”
  • “Atlus would like to hold more events for Persona wherever possible. Not just in Japan, but we’re also looking overseas.”
  • “We will continue putting in effort into Vanillaware titles and other Atlus IP.”
  • “We’re working on a variety of announced and unannounced titles, and we’re working hard to release them as soon as possible. We hope to deliver several surprises in the future.”
  • “There are currently five, six development lines in the works. If you include Vanillaware and other external companies and technology research & development companies, it is about ten (development lines).”
  • “Work on Project Re Fantasy is progressing little by little. We hope to announce something when the time is right.”
  • “We also hope to announce some news on Etrian Odyssey for you all.”
  • “Other than that, Atlus is progressing with several unannounced major projects that will surely surprise everyone. We can’t wait to share them with you all soon. Please wait a little longer for the announcements.”
