For the fans: PlatinumGames thanks gamers for making Astral Chain a hit, shares fancy artwork

Astral Chain is kind of a big deal. It’s anime insanity mixed with PlatinumGames’ trademark action game perfection. As a result of this, the title is doing well on the gaming charts, particularly in the UK and Japan. The game’s developer has taken notice. To celebrate the fans who have made this sales milestone possible, the company tweeted an exclusive piece of artwork.

What makes the chain so astral, I wonder?

Feast your eyes on the beautiful picture below, courtesy of PlatinumGames artist, Hajime Kimura:

What a colorful illustration for a game that has some heavy themes! The only misstep with this Tweet is the prominence of the kitty. Based on the photo, it must play a key role in Astral Chain‘s plot. Thanks for spoiling it, Kimura! Also, that dog mascot is the stuff of nightmares.

I recently picked up Astral Chain, and boy is it a delight to play! This shouldn’t surprise me. After all, I am a huge fan of all things PlatinumGames. The Bayonetta series, Nier: Automata, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance…these are all fantastic, exhilarating titles. I can’t wait to see what PlatinumGames does next, especially when it is in charge of its IP.

Fans of lovingly rendered butts, have you picked up Astral Chain? Are you enjoying the combat? Let us know below!
