Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp features players want

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp continues to keep players engaged with its various events, constant updates, and new items. Fans are still playing and there are, in fact, big online communities dedicated just to this mobile game on Facebook and Reddit. Players are hooked, but there are still some things they would love to see added in future updates — and maybe Nintendo will listen.

Item trading

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, players could easily trade items with one another by simply connecting online and dropping off the desired items. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has no such ability yet. Sure, we have our Market Boxes, but you are only limited to putting bugs, fruit, fish, and shells in them. How great would it be if you could put in furniture and clothing? Another great idea would be a Trading Post. You could post what you have to trade, maybe those multiple duplicate items from all your Fortune Cookies, and simply post what you are looking for. Community fans have been asking for item trading since the game came out last year. Hopefully, Nintendo includes this in a future update.

More Special Fortune Cookie rewards

Sure, sometimes the Special Fortune Cookies are available for purchase with your Bells in the Fortune Cookie Shop, but otherwise, you have to pay up with Leaf Tickets. In one of the recent goals, you could earn 3 Fortune Cookies as rewards for free and fans were really happy. We would love to see more goals like this in the future.

In-game communication

One of the other neat features that we don’t see yet in Pocket Camp is being able to communicate with other players directly while in-game. It would make asking for help with gardening, getting into the Quarry, or any other events that much easier instead of communicating on chat boards or social media.

Easier mining at the Quarry with better rewards

Another beef players seem to have with the game is the Quarry. You need to use 20 Leaf Tickets to get in or wait for five players to let you in. When you finally do get in, it’s all luck on which rocks have the right ores. The rewards also aren’t that great. Players would love to see better rewards added and make it easier to enter the Quarry and mine.

Co-op play

Back in other games, players were able to play together by connecting online. You had the Island and its many mini-games you could play with either people you know or with players from all over the world. This is another key feature that should have been included from the beginning or in a future update. Imagine how much easier bug and fish catching would be when you have a partner, or even if there were mini-games with some sweet rewards.

Compatibility with upcoming Animal Crossing Switch 2019

Now that Animal Crossing for Switch has officially been announced, could we see cross-compatibility with Pocket CampPokémon GO will be compatible with Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu, so why not do that for this game as well? Imagine being able to unlock rewards and transfer items or villagers between games.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has remained popular and does have a following online. Nintendo has listened to player feedback in the past with its last couple updates. Hopefully, some of these features are added in future updates, or we see them included once Animal Crossing for Switch launches next year! Let us know what features you want to see added!
