Skydance New Media, a development studio led by Uncharted creator Amy Hennig, is set to make a AAA game set in the Marvel Universe. We do not know who the game will star just yet, but Marvel’s announcement promises a “narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game, featuring a completely original story and take on the Marvel Universe.” Interestingly, Marvel’s announcement also remarked that “[t]his marks the first initiative from the new AAA game studio, which was formed by Hennig and Electronic Arts veteran Julian Beak to pioneer a new category of story-focused interactive entertainment—a groundbreaking convergence of games, film, and television.”
After holding our cards close to the vest for so long, we’re excited to finally be able to share the news! We’re having a blast working with @MarvelGames on our first project at @Skydance New Media, and can’t wait until we can share more. Excelsior! https://t.co/opj87SJwQ6

While it sounds like we could be waiting a long time before we learn anything else about the game (such as which hero or villain we will be playing as), any team with Amy Hennig on it is a great choice if Marvel is going for a narrative-driven action-adventure blockbuster.
What Marvel character would you like to see take up the spotlight in Skydance’s upcoming game? Would you like for it to tie into any other Marvel games? Do you think it will manage to land on Switch, or does that seem out of the question? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
