Amazon Japan sends customer 19 extra copies of Link's Awakening

Think of some of the weirdest retail blunders that have worked in your favor. Maybe the cashier only took $30 instead of the $50 they thought they did. Maybe you were given a brand new game at the price of a used one. Or, if you’re this lucky Amazon customer, maybe you received 19 extra copies of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

Twitter user @syamaruru ordered a single copy of Link’s Awakening from Amazon Japan. However, when they received their package, Amazon had allegedly sent them 20 copies instead.

Through the power of Google Translate, it seems the customer claims to have only ordered and paid for one copy. They allegedly spoke with Amazon Japan’s support about the issue and will be returning the extra 19 copies they didn’t pay for. At least they’re doing the right thing. I know many people that would be tempted to keep those extra copies for their own benefit. It would have been far too easy to just sell the extra copies on their own.

What about you guys? Have you ever been on the receiving end of a mistake like this? Has Amazon ever accidentally shipped you extra of an item you ordered? Share your stories if you have them!

I love all kinds of video games. I personally find the most enjoyment in JRPGs, Visual Novels, and pretty much anything Nintendo makes. I'm always open to discovering new types of games, so I'll be happy to check out anything someone suggests.
