The lack of big announcements at EA Play Live 2020 certainly gave the impression that Electronic Arts’ release plans have been ravaged by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that’s okay. Everybody’s suffering through that in one form or another. However, aside from the announcements of Apex Legends, FIFA 21: Legacy Edition, and Lost in Random on Nintendo Switch, one more big piece of news for Switch owners at the event was that a total seven EA games will come to the console within the next 12 months. Three of them are Burnout Paradise Remastered, Apex Legends, and FIFA 21. Venture Beat now reports to know the other four.
Firstly, VB lists Lost in Random, which isn’t so surprising since that EA game had a vague 2021 release date in the first place. The three remaining EA Switch titles, which are currently unannounced, are reportedly as follows:
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2010 remaster (will also come to other platforms)
- Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, the most recent entry in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise
- unannounced EA Original from Velan Studios, a studio founded by the founders of Vicarious Visions
If this list is accurate and you were hoping for The Sims or a Mass Effect remaster on Switch sometime soon, well, I hope you have strong mental health and will survive this crippling blow to your life.
What do you think of these potential EA titles coming to Nintendo Switch?
