Agony to agonize players on Nintendo Switch

Agony Madmind Studio Forever Entertainment

Forever Entertainment will be porting Madmind Studio’s Agony to Nintendo Switch for release by the end of 2018. This is a game about a person who has been condemned to hell and is also an amnesiac. You have to sneak around hell, using your wits and occasionally possessing other creatures, in order to survive and piece together the character’s memories.

Agony actually received pretty abysmal reviews upon its first release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has since received some patches, so it’s possible in theory that the game has significantly improved, but I would approach this title with caution regardless. For instance, the link to their official website on Twitter is currently a 404 error page–not a sign of a healthy enterprise.

Although, there’s one thing I’ve been wondering about Agony ever since it was first announced: What happens if you “die” in hell? Do you just cease to exist altogether? Do you go to super hell? Maybe Madmind should’ve set their game in super hell instead.
