Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp

It’s finally happening! During today’s E3 Nintendo Direct, Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp was announced for Nintendo Switch. This package will include full 3D remakes of the Game Boy Advance classics, featuring campaigns from both Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2 Black Hole Rising. The remake will boast gorgeous visuals and anime-like cutscenes, while also keeping the traditional gameplay intact. If you’ve never played Advance Wars, then this is the perfect opportunity to dive in. You can check out the trailer below:

Fans have been wanting a sequel/remake to Advance Wars for years now, and that dream has finally become a reality. The last entry in the series, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin was released in 2008, so the franchise has been dormant for nearly thirteen years. WayForward, an American development studio known for the Shantae series, are the developers of this remake. Nintendo also has plans to show more of the game during today’s Treehouse Live, so expect to see more details in the near future.

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will launch on December 3, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. The game is now available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop, and will retail for $59.99 / £49.99.
