Following a delay announcement last week , we might already know the new release date for Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot CampĀ thanks to the game’s eShop listing. The delay, which was announced last week, was originally unveiled as a delay to Spring 2022 through the below tweet. Now, if you look at the game’s eShop page, you’ll see an April 8, 2022 release date.
Hello, troops! #AdvanceWars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was set to launch on 12/3, will now release for #NintendoSwitch in spring 2022. The game just needs a little more time for fine tuning. You'll be battling with Andy & friends soon! Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/dSi8VSsxTH

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is launching on April 8th, 2022 per the eShop.
This is a Friday which is Nintendo's usual release day so it makes complete sense. pic.twitter.com/e3jDVNTaik

It is not entirely clear what developer WayForward has in mind for the extra development time; as we remarked upon the announcement of the delay, this may give WayForward some time to tweak the visuals, which many found underwhelming upon the game’s initial E3 reveal. As for gameplay, pretty much nothing needs to change from the originals.
This is not quite confirmation thatĀ Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp has a new release date is April 8, but it would certainly make sense. Plus, an appearance on the game’s eShop page is pretty convincing. If I had to bet on it, I’d say that this is the new date.
