2K Games Disables Screenshot Feature in NBA 2K18 on Switch

Well, this is strange. Usually, an update is supposed to add features and fix bugs, but the latest update for NBA 2K18 on Switch has actually removed a feature: the ability to capture screenshots.

A Redditor by the name of ‘KAG_21’ noticed the functionality was missing after their game updated to the latest version: 1.07. Understandably confused, they reached out to the developers at 2K to get to the bottom of the issue. It turns out that this wasn’t a glitch, but a deliberate move from 2K. An email was sent to KAG_21, explaining vaguely that the feature has been removed due to a “new Nintendo policy”. Here’s a screenshot of that email:

As you can see, the functionality was also stripped from WWE 2K18. It’s still a mystery as to what this new policy from Nintendo could be. Some users who responded to this Reddit thread theorized that this could be a matter of licensing issues. We’ll have to wait and see if the situation develops any further.
